Springtime is in full bloom here in Northern Illinois; it is almost 80 degrees here today and we are spending as much time outside as we can! We just returned from our first revival meetings in the Spring, and what a wonderful trip we had! First, we headed out to Sturgis, SD, to be with Pastor and Mrs. Brian Ross and the folks at Calvary Baptist Church. The week was a tremendous blessing to us and we saw God work in many lives. We had the chance to visit Mt. Rushmore and the Badlands, and then we scooted out as fast as we could so we didn’t get caught in the oncoming blizzard!
We then drove to Red Oak, IA, and ministered at the Grace Baptist Church. I was able to preach a men’s conference on Saturday with around 100 men in attendance and about 14 churches represented, and what a great day God gave us! It was wonderful to see many men making decisions to be more faithful in their homes and churches. The revival meeting the rest of the week was an encouragement as well – it was a very hospitable church that had several hungry hearts for the Lord. I pray God continues His reviving work in both of these churches.
We made it back home in time for Easter, and the Spirit of God blessed in a mighty way with many visitors at our church and the gospel being clearly presented in song and sermon. We’re home for just two weeks, and then back on the road to North Carolina and then across to Kansas! Please pray for safety with the many miles being traveled, but also for God’s power in our services; we desperately want to see people saved and believers strengthened in their walk with Christ!
Happy Spring to you all!
