Whew! I have slowed down long enough to write an update on the last few months that have been extremely busy for us. We closed out our Spring meetings in Marion, NC at Maranatha Baptist Church, and then in Wichita, KS at Midland Baptist Church. Both of these churches were so gracious to us, and we had great services in each place. Many hands were raised indicating decisions made and God’s work in hearts.
We were back home for a few weeks before I flew down by myself to preach a Junior Camp week at the Edge Christian Camp in Spring Grove, VA. What a blessed time this was! We saw 7 young people trust Christ as Savior, and many others make good surrender/Christian living decisions. When I flew back home, it was up to New Lisbon, WI, to First Baptist Church for their VBS/Teen week. God blessed our time there, and though I don’t know of any outward decisions, it was a profitable time of sowing and watering seed.
In July my pastor broke his elbow, and so I preached two Sunday’s at our home church, and also ran our VBS week. Then we all headed east for another VBS at Central Baptist Church in Rockville, MD, and a week of camp hosted by Lighthouse Baptist Church in Hermitage, PA. We saw God work during both of these weeks, with at least one salvation, one assurance, and many other good decisions. While in Maryland, we were close to DC, so our family took a day and visited some of the main sights like the Capitol Building, White House, Washington Monument, Lincoln Memorial, and all the other War memorials. It was a very fun time!
In the midst of all of this, we bought a house! It is a long story, but suffice it to say that God opened the door for a particular house and showed us very clearly that it was His will. And so, we just moved this past weekend and are trying to settle in to the new place.
I will be heading to South Carolina this coming week for a week long Christian School Camp, then we have revival meetings in Illinois and Minnesota.
